Yesterday, I battled through stomach pains to hike Machu Picchu Mountain. I’m not sure why I thought the “Las montañas” hike would be a leisure stroll around the mountain until I ended up at the peak for some great photo ops. Instead it was a grueling 2 hour 2km hike ascending 300m vertically. (US ppl do the math to convert to your metrics).
As many of you know I pride myself on my athletic prowess, my body is a well-chiseled temple, but this hike was TOUGH. Maybe it was the altitude, the stomach virus, or the fact my walking sticks kept breaking but I was exhausted after walking 5000 steps up and down the mountain.
I took a bunch of vids after at Machu Picchu and tried to include a few jokes, but being dead tired some of the dead pan humor didn’t quit make it on the first take.
